TransContainer IFRS net profit grows 55% to 9 bln rbl in Jan-Jun

MOSCOW, Aug 30 (PRIME) – Russian freight company TransContainer increased its net profit by 55% year-on-year to 9.2 billion rubles in January-June 2021, as calculated under IFRS, the company said on Monday.

The company said that the container traffic rose by 16% year-on-year to 1.282 million TEUs in January-June 2021 despite the COVID-imposed restrictions.

The company’s revenue increased by 45.3% to 66.129 billion rubles in January-June 2021. EBITDA rose by 59.1% to 16.178 billion rubles. The EBITDA margin on adjusted revenues grew to 57.9% from 56.9% a year earlier. Net debt to EBITDA ratio was 3.6x.

“TransContainer owes its positive financial results to successful adaptation to the changes in the market environment,” Pavel Skachkov, TransContainer’s Vice President for Economics and Finance, said.

“Development of the production assets base, optimization of the car and container fleet management, as well as implementation of new technologies and business solutions allow the company to consistently strengthen its positions in the container transportation market and show high results.”
